Nirmala Nair’s interest in Anastasia is stimulated by her own work in exploring ways of living sustainably. Nirmala has recently returned from Russia, where she toured to Anastasia communities and visited the remarkable Leonard Schetnin school in Gelendzhik. She will be sharing her tour experiences and photos in this 1 and a half hour talk. Regardless of whether you've read the books or not, this talk is designed to offer insights relevant to South Africans.

ABOUT NIRMALA NAIR
Nirmala Nair has been involved in sustainable development initiatives for the last 25 years. She has worked with community based activist groups, NGOS, international aid agencies, funding agencies, academic research institutions and Universities between India, Netherlands and South Africa. Her interests are working on consciousness issues ranging from healing, greening to complexity and systems thinking. She uses any available formats to share her work from films and media to cooking up a storm to yoga classes and the conventional lectures, presentations, trainings and workshops. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on the influence of complexity theories on the philosophy of development. Nirmala was also instrumental in bringing Dr Masaru Emoto to South Africa.

Take the Old Oak off-ramp on the N1. Carry on straight over robot, drive pass Stodels Nursery (on right), road makes a sharp bend to the left, carry on straight, name of road becomes Fairtrees road, carry on straight, road name becomes Lubbe Street, still carry on straight, road crosses with Wellington Street, road name becomes Boland Way. We are the first house on the right as you cross Wellington Street.

From Rondebosch Main Road
- from the traffic lights near the flower sellers and the fountain:
Go up Belmont Road, over the railway bridge, up the hill. Erin Road is the 3rd road on your right. Turn right into Erin Road. If you reach the traffic lights you have gone too far. Erin Hall is 50 metres down Erin Road on the left at the end of the white wall.
Parking:
Please park across the road from Erin Hall. If this is full there is parking area on the same side as the hall but further up the road. Please do not park on the Erin Hall side, there are NO STOPPING signs. You will be fined and towed away.

*6 Dec 2009* - Full Day Outing / Famous Crystal Pools on the Steenbras River Trail, just past Gordon's Bay. Booking for this walk is essential, as numbers are limited to 20 people. This walk is suited for most levels of fitness. Walking time to get to the pools is 90min, with breaks along the way. The waters of Crystal Pools offer a refreshing and revitalizing place to swim and relax, as you take in the awesome scenery. We will be sharing the transport and petrol costs, where possible COST. R60.00 p/p. Booking will be on a first-come first-serve basis. We will be sharing the transport and petrol costs. You can book now. Payment will be required in November. We aim to spend the full day. Group size 20 people.

*13 Dec 2009* Sunday ==> Full Day Outing Silvermine / You are are invited to join us for the last Intuition Nature event of the year at the Silvermine Dam. Even if you have not been on any of the walks, you are welcome to join our group. No official walk is planned for the Sunday. The Silvermine Event is an open day and we are flexible to you coming and going as you wish. Suggested meeting time 9am to ensure that we are able to secure a spot for the group, before it becomes too busy. Approximate ending time: 15:00. This is an opportunity to relax and connect with like-minded people who share similar soulful interests. Bring your own lunch. There will also be an opportunity to swim and cool down in the dam at Silvermine. Included: magical 3D surround views of the Silvermine Circuit!
You will be required to pay an entrance fee to Cape Nature at the gate - R10.00. Immediately beyond the gate you have a choice of taking a left turn or going straight ahead.
